For Small Business

Affordable CRM
for Small Business

A small business often needs a customer list that’s right and a reminder before a lead goes quiet. ContactsPlus does both from $9.99 a month on annual billing, with the signed quote attached to the customer’s record. When a second person needs the same list, Teams is $12.99 per user.

At a glance

ContactsPlus is an affordable CRM for small business: Premium is $9.99 a month billed annually and covers five synced accounts, 25,000 contacts, duplicate merging, follow-up reminders and 10 GB of files. Teams adds a shared address book at $12.99 per user a month billed annually. It has no invoicing, time tracking or project tracking.

  • Premium comes to $119.88 a year on annual billing, or $13.99 a month if you pay monthly
  • Teams is $17.99 per user billed monthly and holds up to 50 people
  • Google, iCloud and Outlook contacts land in one list, and the same person is merged across accounts
  • Reminders, notes and files sit on each customer’s record

The cost

What a small business pays

ContactsPlus is contact management software with the CRM jobs a small business uses daily built in, and the price is set around that. Premium is $9.99 a month on annual billing, which is $119.88 for the year. Paying month to month is $13.99.

One Premium subscription covers up to five connected accounts and 25,000 contacts, so a growing list doesn’t push you into a higher plan until it passes that mark. Cancel anytime from your account settings, and access runs through the end of the billing period you’ve paid for.

Teams is $12.99 per user a month on annual billing, or $17.99 monthly. Five people on annual billing pay $64.95 a month, which is $779.40 a year, and each seat includes everything in Premium. You’re billed only for the seats you use.

A limited Free plan exists for a single connected account and up to 1,000 contacts, and you can start there and upgrade once it stops being enough. The pricing page compares all three plans line by line.

What you get

What Premium covers

Everything below is part of Premium.

One list from up to five accounts

Customers turn up in a work Gmail, a personal iCloud and an old Outlook account. Premium connects up to five of them and pulls everything into one address book of up to 25,000 contacts, synced in real time. You pick a direction for each account, from pulling contacts in only to syncing both ways, and the contact sync page shows how.

Duplicates merged across accounts

When two accounts both hold the same customer, you get two records and two versions of the phone number. Premium finds the pairs across every connected account and shows the differences side by side before you merge. It also tidies outdated data. Removing duplicate contacts goes through the steps.

Details filled in for you

Enrichment matches publicly available data to your contacts and adds job titles, companies, social profiles and photos. Premium also reads your Gmail signatures and offers the new details as updates you can accept. See contact enrichment for what it fills.

A photo becomes a contact

Scan a business card, or any image with contact details on it, such as a screenshot of an email signature or a photo of a conference badge, and AI builds a saved contact. Premium includes 100 scans a month. The business card scanner page has the details.

Follow-ups on the customer

Add a task to a customer with a due date and ContactsPlus reminds you, 15 minutes before by default. A task with a due time can push one-way to your Google, Outlook or Apple calendar, and you can turn on a 9 AM digest of what’s due that day. Every account gets a trial of Tasks, and creating reminders after that is part of Premium. Here’s how follow-up reminders work.

The quote on the customer’s record

Attach a signed quote, a contract or a scan to the person it belongs to, and link the same file to their company if it applies to both. Premium has 10 GB of storage with up to 25 MB per file, and deleted files sit in a 30-day Trash. The library is covered under attaching files to contacts.

Six months of history, with undo

Premium logs every add, edit, merge and enrichment for six months, and each one can be undone in a click.

Your contacts inside an AI assistant

Connect Claude, ChatGPT or Grok to your address book and ask for a briefing on a customer before the call. Anything the assistant suggests waits for your approval, and deleting a contact isn’t something it can do. The AI assistants page covers setup.

More than one of you

When a small team should pick Teams

Premium doesn’t include a shared address book. When a second person needs to see and edit the same list, Teams is the plan that does it, at $12.99 per user a month on annual billing.

It adds Owner, Admin and Member roles, shared notes and a named owner on each contact. Shared team tasks with assignment come with it, and so do up to ten synced accounts and no cap on contacts. A team can have up to 50 people. When someone leaves, their contacts stay with the business.

Every member gets what Premium includes, so each person has their own 100 card scans a month.

By trade

Where it fits

A real estate agent keeps past buyers, lenders and referral partners in the same phone. Real estate agents have their own page on contact management for real estate.

A one-person business has a different problem, which is remembering who to write to next. CRM for freelancers is built around past clients and open inquiries, and CRM for consultants around referral partners and retainers.

Getting started

Getting set up

1

Connect every account that has customers in it

Premium takes up to five. If part of your list lives in a spreadsheet, a CSV or vCard file works too, and the import contacts page shows how.

2

Review the duplicate pairs

Records for the same person across your accounts sit side by side, and you choose which value stays.

3

Photograph the cards in the drawer

Every old business card you never typed in can go through the scanner. A month of Premium covers 100 of them.

4

Give each live lead a next step

Open the customer, add a task with a due date and attach the quote. When the reminder comes, the history is already on the record.

Worth knowing first

When you need a bigger CRM

ContactsPlus holds people, notes, tasks and files. It has no invoicing, no time tracking and no project tracking, so a business that bills by the hour or tracks projects will want that software next to it, or instead of it.

Uploads are capped at 25 MB per file, and only PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, image and text files are accepted. Big design or video files belong in your usual storage.

Contacts export as CSV or vCard on every plan, so the list is never locked in.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

What is the most affordable CRM for a small business?

It depends on what you need the CRM to do, and we can’t say ours is the lowest-priced option for every business. If the jobs are keeping contacts accurate, following up and filing paperwork with the customer, ContactsPlus Premium covers those jobs. Write down the jobs first, then price the tools that cover them.

Is there an affordable CRM for real estate agents?

If you want a clean list of clients and referral partners more than a full transaction system, yes. One agent needs only Premium, and a brokerage or a team with assistants can share one address book on Teams. The contact management for real estate page shows how the records, the scanner and Teams fit that work. ContactsPlus does less than a dedicated real estate CRM, so some agents keep one alongside it.

How much does ContactsPlus cost?

Premium is $9.99 a month when billed annually, which comes to $119.88 a year, or $13.99 when you pay monthly. Teams is $12.99 per user a month billed annually and $17.99 per user billed monthly. Every feature is listed by plan on the pricing page.

Is it billed per user?

Yes. Both prices are quoted per user a month. Teams holds up to 50 people on one shared address book, you pay for the seats you use, and you can add or remove members anytime. A team of five on annual billing pays $64.95 a month.

Is a low-cost CRM good enough for a small business?

It is when the work is contacts, follow-ups and files. A low price stops being a bargain once you need invoicing, time tracking or project tracking, because ContactsPlus has none of those. Put the jobs you do every week next to what each tool includes.

When does a small team need Teams instead of Premium?

When more than one person has to read and edit the same address book, or when customer contacts should stay with the business after someone leaves. Every member gets everything in Premium, plus Owner, Admin and Member roles, shared notes, a named owner on each contact, up to ten synced accounts and no contact cap.

Can I cancel or switch plans later?

Yes. You can cancel anytime from your account settings and keep access through the end of the billing period, and you can switch between paid plans, including from monthly to annual billing. Contacts export as CSV or vCard on every plan.
